Find a Support Group
Find a Support Group
- Find other students, classmates, roommates, or friends you can all split things with, even textbooks cost. You can even take turns cooking or splitting different transportation costs.
Coping Strategies:
FIND TIME TO RELAX
- I get it. We’re all busy but trying to find time to relax and not do any schoolwork is so important! It’ll help with not getting burned out quickly and allowing yourself to have a bit of a life. Whatever relaxing means to you, do it.
Positive Writing
- I usually try and use the word “positive writing†because not everyone wants to journal but hey, if you’re into it, go for it. Sometimes we just need to write down why are doing what we are doing in the hopes that it will remind us why we decided to take this journey, to begin with. Writing down all the things that are positive and going in your day are also helpful to do. Reading or writing positive things can boost our mood.
Acceptance
- Sometimes the only thing that we can do is just accept a situation or a moment for what it is. Letting go and realizing that we’re not all superman and can do ten things at once is ok! You do what you can in the time that you have. Don’t push yourself too much. You’re only one person.
